WorldHotels adds first properties in Canada

BWH Hotel Group's WorldHotels brand is coming to Canada with the introduction of nine hotels across the company's Luxury, Elite and Crafted collections. The properties are all owned by Prestige Hotels & Resorts.

“This expansion into Canada is monumental for the WorldHotels brand and we’re thrilled to be joining with Prestige Hotels & Resorts, such a well-respected Canadian hotel company,” WorldHotels President Ron Pohl said in a statement. “Each of these nine properties captures the spirit of its location and brings something special and unique to our collection. We see tremendous opportunity for growth throughout Canada and these hotels set the stage perfectly for the expansion of our brand across the country.”

The nine hotels all have extra amenities, such as complimentary bikes or e-bikes, sporting equipment, beach toys and board games.

The properties are: 

  • Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke, Luxury Collection: This full-service, oceanfront resort in the seaside community of Sooke has two onsite restaurants and a seasonal cafe, along with an local and international wine list, room service, an athletic club, a wellness spa, indoor pool and hot tub, fire tables and indoor and outdoor convention, banquet and meeting facilities. On the top floor of the resort, the Pacific Penthouse has more than 1,920 square feet of indoor living space and an additional 1,700 square feet of private outdoor space, with two master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.
  • Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm, Luxury Collection: Located on the banks of a nature estuary with views of Shuswap Lake and Bastion Mountains, this property is close to downtown’s shopping and dining. The resort has 120 guestrooms, many with private balconies. The resort has two dining options, meeting and convention space, an indoor and outdoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, an onsite spa and salon, an arcade and an athletic club.
  • Prestige Treasure Cove Resort Prince George, Elite Collection: This hotel has several onsite restaurants, a casino, a billiards room, a swimming pool, a waterslide and a hot tub. 
  • Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson, Elite Collection: With its waterfront location, the Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson has a restaurant and lounge as well as a café, and the resort has an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, meeting and event space and a spa, along with a marina and water activities near the hotel.
  • Prestige Beach House Kelowna, Crafted Collection: Directly across from Kelowna's Hot Sands Beach, the Prestige Beach House Kelowna is two blocks from the main downtown hub. The hotel has a swimming pool and hot tub, a fitness center, a restaurant and several meeting spaces.
  • Prestige Radium Hot Springs Resort, Crafted Collection: Close to the hot springs pools in the village of Radium Hot Springs, this property has an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness room, a restaurant, a lounge, and meeting and banquet facilities.
  • Prestige Cranbrook Rocky Mountain Resort, Crafted Collection: With two vintage rail cars converted into designer suites, this property has two restaurants, a salon, a spa, an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and an athletic center as well as meeting and event space to accommodate up to 500 people.
  • Prestige Kamloops Hotel, Crafted Collection: This fully renovated hotel has a swimming pool, a waterslide, a hot tub, a fitness center, meeting space and a new restaurant. 
  • Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland, Crafted Collection: Located between the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges of British Columbia, this property has a hot tub, an arcade and onsite restaurant and lounge. The resort also has meeting spaces and secure bike and ski storage lockers.
