Aileron Management to operate Hilton Head HIE

Aileron Management has taken over operations of the Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head, a 153-room resort-style hotel in South Carolina. The hotel is Aileron’s second hotel in the state and brings its portfolio to eight properties. It also represents the first coastal management contract for the company.

The hotel was purchased in September by PassiveInvesting.com, a private equity real estate firm, and represents the first lodging asset in the firm's portfolio.

“The appeal of drive-to leisure hotels is undeniable," Aileron Management CEO Jason Boehm said in a statement. "The addition of the Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head, ideally located within yards of the beach, Coligny Circle shopping, and the new Lowcountry Celebration Park, represents a key evolution and diversification of our portfolio. Ramping up the resort experience, coupled with the impending renovation, will position the Express as the go-to option for vacationers visiting Hilton Head Island.”

Renovated in 2016, the pet-friendly hotel covers six acres and has an outdoor pool with sundeck and grill area, 1,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a business center, guest laundry facilities, a market pantry and a fitness center.
