The Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, the peer-to-peer learning and networking organization for current and future hospitality investment leaders in Atlanta, has named its 2023 board of directors, including Amanda Chivers as president.
“Having spent nearly two decades in the Atlanta hospitality industry, Amanda will add her unique perspective to the role of AHA president,” Paul Breslin, AHA public relations chair and managing director at Horwath HTL Atlanta – USA, said in a statement. “Her local roots run deep, having worked with such Big Peach stalwarts as HVMG, Trimont Real Estate Advisors and the locally based Marcus & Millichap’s national hospitality group. Amanda's current role at Crown Hospitality Consulting lends itself perfectly for her to take the helm at AHA, and we look forward to her leadership in the coming year.”
With more than 16 years of industry experience, Chivers is managing principal of Crown Hospitality Consulting, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in hotel asset management, construction and loan administration, operational review and distressed asset turnaround in the upscale and luxury hotel sectors. She has overseen more than $1 billion in transactions representing virtually all the major hotel brands. Chivers also oversees construction loan servicing of new-build development and conversion projects for several clients.
AHA also named the following board members:
- Colin Mcdonald, VP of operations - IHG Hotels & Resorts, as president-elect
- Will Woodworth, VP of investments - Peachtree Hotel Group, as treasurer
- James Savier, VP - CBRE, as secretary
