Beechwood Hospitality and MMI Hotel Group have formed a strategic alignment that will bring the two companies together under a unified hotel management platform operating as Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company. Together, the blended company will operate under MMI Hospitality Group, a private investment partnership founded in 1956 that has grown into a multi-division hospitality platform. According to a statement, the combined companies expect to create “a stronger, more dynamic hotel management platform with expanded operational capabilities and access to shared services through the broader MMI platform.”
"This partnership reflects who we are at our core," Micajah Sturdivant, CEO of MMI Hospitality Group, said in the statement. "As a multi-generational family business, we have always believed that sustainable growth comes from surrounding ourselves with people who share our values. Bringing Beechwood and MMI together creates a stronger organization while preserving the culture, relationships, and spirit of hospitality that have guided us for more than 70 years."
Leading the newly aligned organization will be Blair Allen, founding partner of Beechwood Hospitality, who will serve as President of Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company.
"This was one of those opportunities that felt obvious from the start,” said Allen. “MMI and Beechwood each bring distinct strengths to the table, but together we create something even stronger. As our industry continues to evolve, we recognize the importance of building scale, expanding our capabilities, and positioning ourselves to remain competitive. I'm energized by the opportunity ahead and eager to begin the work of building this next chapter together."
Operating as Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company, the unified organization will maintain support centers in Jackson, Miss., and Little Rock, Ark., and represent a combined portfolio of more than two dozen full-service, select-service and independent hotels and resorts, private clubs and restaurants across the Sun Belt.
