Oregon Marriott switches management companies

Sage Hotel Management, a Sage Hospitality Group company, has taken over management of the 258-room Bidwell Marriott Portland in Oregon, the company's fifth property in the city. The Bidwell joins Sage’s Premier Collection of hotels, which has more than 30 branded and soft-branded luxury and upper-upscale hotels in 12 states.

In 2020, the former Portland Marriott City Center underwent a full-scale, multimillion-dollar renovation that included a revamp of all guestrooms, suites, common areas and meeting space along with the launch of a new signature restaurant and bar. The property reopened in 2021 as The Bidwell Marriott Portland. 

The hotel also got a new fitness center; 3,700 square feet of event space; and a first-floor shop sellinng food, beer, wine and other local goods. The second floor has a restaurant, High Horse, and the signature M Club lounge.
