Crescent Hotels & Resorts has added the Shangri-La Resort & Marina in Monkey Island, Okla., to its Latitudes: Lifestyles by Crescent collection. Positioned on approximately 1,300 miles of shoreline, the Shangri-La Resort & Marina is the only full-service resort complex on northeastern Oklahoma's Grand Lake O' The Cherokees. The lakeside resort has 119 rooms, some of which offer direct access to the resort’s 6,500-square-foot pool and children’s splash pad. The property also has poolside fire pits, spa facilities and a fitness center with an indoor pool. The paved Monkey Island Trail connects with the hotel parking lot and extends five and a half miles.
Shangri-La Resort & Marina also has 45 holes of lakeside golf and has lessons from professional golfers over a selection of four courses. There also is a 240-slip marina at Shangri-La that has private yacht charters for group events. Activities include parasailing on personal watercraft or boat rentals.
The Anchor and Racquet Club is the resort’s activity center with outdoor and indoor tennis and pickleball courts, an arcade with traditional and virtual reality games, golf and shooting simulator bays, a fishing pond, numerous outdoor sporting activities and The Anchor Sports Bar with more than 12 TVs.
