Curator Hotel & Resort Collection adds three West Coast members

Curator Hotel & Resort Collection adds three new members: Bernardus Lodge & Spa in Carmel Valley, Calif., The Pierside Santa Monica in Santa Monica, Calif., and Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP Hotels, located in Gleneden Beach on the central Oregon Coast.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these exceptional properties to our growing collection,” Jennifer Barnwell, president of Curator Hotel & Resort Collection, said in a statement. “Our member hotels and resorts are known for their commitment to providing travelers with truly distinctive and memorable experiences, and these three new additions are no exception.”

The newest members of the Curator Hotel & Resort Collection are:

  • Bernardus Lodge & Spa: Located in scenic Carmel Valley, Bernardus Lodge & Spa has been considered one of the finest winemaking estates in California, and after a multimillion-dollar facelift in 2015, the lodge now has 73 guestrooms. The spa has an indoor-outdoor experience with a body-temperature soaking pool and treatments infused with wine grapes and lavender grown on the property. The restaurant Lucia offers a full cocktail bar, a café overlooking the garden and an intimate dining room. Guests can also borrow the house Mercedes-Benz to visit the Bernardus Winery tasting room.
  • The Pierside Santa Monica: The 132-room hotel, located in downtown Santa Monica, launched in January 2023 following a multi-million-dollar renovation as a lifestyle hotel. As the closest hotel to the celebrated Santa Monica Pier, The Pierside Hotel is one of the latest hotels on the renowned Ocean Avenue in 11 years. A 24-hour fitness center and a one-stop rental shop, The Board Shop, are available to guests to rent items from surfboards to beach equipment and games. Property sustainability initiatives also extend to responsible food and beverage sourcing through local partners and hydration stations throughout the hotel. Every guest has a reusable aluminum eco-bottle to utilize during their stay and beyond.
  • Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP Hotels: Overlooking Siletz Bay National Wildlife Reserve on the central Oregon Coast and less than a three-hour drive from Portland, the sustainability and wellness-focused, 205-room lodge has an award-winning 18-hole golf course, world-class spa, and was recently named by Travel & Leisure as one of the top 15 resorts in the Western United States. Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP also has an abundance of wellness experiences including daily complimentary yoga and private classes at the new Wellness Studio, and a range of innovative spa treatments. Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP has plant-forward, farm-and-ocean-to-fork menus at its two restaurants as well as in-room dining. Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP is also dog-friendly, with complimentary treats, pet beds and bowls.
