3 hotel companies fill corporate positions

A hospitality giant and a management firm have appointed new leaders to new roles.

IHG

IHG Hotels & Resorts has named Peter Palli as the company's new SVP, property, owner and stay experience products & platforms. In this role, Palli will lead the team responsible for developing technology solutions that enhance the on-property experience, create operational efficiencies for hotels and drive returns for owners. 

Before joining IHG, Palli was chief commercial officer at Omni Hotels & Resorts, where he was responsible for all revenue-generating activities across sales, marketing, loyalty, brand management, revenue management, distribution and customer care operations. 

A native of Salzburg, Austria, Palli started his career with Hilton in the U.K., progressing through various operations roles to senior corporate technology and commercial leadership positions over his 22 years with the company, including VP of distribution and commercial solutions, where he was responsible for third-party channel strategy as well as the evolution of the company’s commercial platforms. 

PM Hotel Group

Management company PM Hotel Group has appointed Ryan Butler as corporate director of sustainability and energy. In his role, Butler will focus on the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and will lead strategic sustainability initiatives as the direct point of contact for internal and external stakeholder collaboration. 

Butler has a background in mechanical engineering and he is pursuing a master’s in real estate at Georgetown University with a concentration in real estate finance. He has nearly a decade of commercial real estate sustainability consulting experience in the built environment. Before joining PM Hotel Group, Butler worked for JLL, where he coordinated environmental, social and governance projects across owner and corporate occupier real estate portfolios and set up strategic frameworks for corporate sustainability programs.

OTO Development

Stewart W. Heath IV has been promoted to vice president of real estate at OTO Development, a private company that develops, owns and operates select-service hotels throughout the continental United States.

In his new role, he is tasked with overseeing the hotelier’s team of real estate development professionals who specialize in market and site identification, feasibility, contract negotiations and entitlement management for new hospitality development and acquisition opportunities.

Heath previously served as OTO’s real estate manager. A graduate of The Citadel, Heath worked in real estate development for Johnson Development Associates before joining OTO Development in December 2018.
