IHG renews management agreement for D.C. hotel

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a new 25-year management agreement with Willard Associates for the 335-guestroom Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. Carr Companies, the organizations’ affiliate partner, also serves as the managing member of two other nearby IHG-branded properties—the 278-room InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf and the 120-room Hotel Indigo Old Town Alexandria (Va.). Willard Associates and IHG have collaborated since the Willard Hotel reopened in 1986.

Public spaces include a French brasserie (Café du Parc), the Round Robin Bar, an onsite media studio, a coworking center and 24,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

As of late October, IHG has 42 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts properties across the Americas region, with an additional nine in the regional pipeline.
