Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s newly founded hotel management division has signed on to operate The Savvy in Savannah, Ga. The 55-room hotel is the first of at least two hotel projects the company plans on launching this year.
"The great advantage for hotels of this size is the ability to personalize the experience for guests and enables us to create a memorable visit," Larry Spelts, partner and president of Indigo Road's Lodging & Lifestyle Adventures division, said in a statement. "The open-air courtyard is destined to become a highly coveted place for locals and visitors looking to enjoy refreshing beverages in a secluded urban oasis."
The hotel, slated to open in 2021, will include a 2,000-square-foot courtyard and an 800-square-foot meeting room. Indigo Road will operate a seafood restaurant and raw bar adjacent to the hotel.
Garage Cap Hospitality and JPW Development Partners are co-developing the project. Architecture firm LS3P is designing the hotel and JE Dunn Construction is serving as general contractor.
Indigo Road launched its Lodging & Lifestyle Adventures division in January. At the time the Charleston, S.C.-based company operated 24 restaurants throughout the Southeast.
