IPD Hospitality, a full-service hospitality management company, was awarded the management contract for the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Decatur, Ill. Richard Norton, president of IPD Hospitality, made the statement.
The hotel is owned by Decatur Investment Group and has been in operation since 1999. The 60-room hotel, which consists of all suites, is preparing to undergo a soft goods and case goods renovation at the hands of US Hospitality Group. Renovations should be complete within the next eight months.
Situated near I-72, the hotel is within close proximity to shops, restaurants, the local airport and the area’s major corporations. Nearby attractions include the Children’s Museum of Illinois and the Scovil Zoo, as well as a movie theater located behind the property. The Hickory Point Mall is 15 miles from the hotel.

On-property amenities include an airport shuttle, BBQ grills, an onsite business center, dry cleaning services, a fitness center, free breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, a meeting room and shuttles to local attractions.
