For the week of July 1-7, U.S. hotel performance fell from the previous week, but year-over-year comparisons improved, according to STR's latest data.
For the week (percentage change from comparable week in 2022):
- Occupancy: 69.9 percent (+4.1 percent)
- Average daily rate: $156.27 (+1.5 percent)
- Revenue per available room: $109.18 (+5.7 percent)
In comparison, for the week of June 18-24 (percentage change from comparable week in 2022):
- Occupancy: 71.4 percent (-1 percent)
- ADR: $159.00 (+0.9 percent)
- RevPAR: $113.58 (-0.1 percent)
Top Markets
Among STR's top 25 markets, St. Louis saw the highest year-over-year increases in occupancy (+22.2 percent to 71.6 percent) and RevPAR (+39.3 percent to $96.46).
Philadelphia posted the largest ADR lift (+16.4 percent to $170.53).
The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in New Orleans (-25.1 percent to $119.12) and Miami (-10.2 percent to $112.20).
