Valor Hospitality expands portfolio in South Africa, Colorado

Valor Hospitality Partners has added two properties to its portfolio. The management company will oversee the Taaibosch Wine Estate in South Africa's Cape Winelands and The Mining Exchange Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel and Spa in Colorado.

Taaibosch Wine Estate

The Taaibosch Wine Estate is located on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

The property recently launched three luxury lodging offerings including a two-bedroom Garden Villa; a four-bedroom Farsight Villa higher up on the slopes of the Helderberg; and newly renovated five-bedroom all en-suite Manor House, originally built in 1838. These facilities have private pools, kitchens and butler service.

The Mining Exchange Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel and Spa

In downtown Colorado Springs, Colo., The Mining Exchange Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel and Spa, is a 117-room hotel that includes the MX Spa, the Springs Orleans Restaurant, two on-site bars and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space.

The structure was built in 1902 by mining baron Winfield Scott Stratton as a stock exchange for local mining companies. The hotel has central brass staircase and original stock exchange safes along with twelve-foot ceilings, double-headed showers and recording studio-quality walls to eliminate noise travel between rooms. It is located near Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods.

“The team at Valor Hospitality is committed to curating and reimagining memorable guest experiences in properties across the world,” said Euan McGlashan, CEO and global cofounder of Valor Hospitality, in a statement. “The addition of both Taaibosch Wine Estate and The Mining Exchange Hotel to the Valor portfolio are a testament to this commitment, as both offer unique onsite experiences rooted in history, culture and luxury. Our team of dedicated Hotelitarians are eager to bring Valor’s approach to hospitality into these properties.”
