Hilton plans Garden Inn, Hampton growth in France

Hilton has signed franchise agreements to introduce five new properties under its focused-service Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands in France, tripling the company’s French portfolio in the next five years.

The cities of Paris, Tours and Lille each will get new properties following strategic partnerships with Naos Hôtel Groupe, Borealis Hotel Group and Bari Gruppe GmbH & Co., respectively.

"Since opening our first hotels under Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton in the past months, demand for our focused-service brands has continued to accelerate,” Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP of development, EMEA, Hilton, said in a statement. “We see considerable scope for growth, with plans to triple our trading presence in the next three to five years.”

Hilton Garden Inn Paris La Villette

The 92-guestroom Hilton Garden Inn Paris La Villette will open in La Villette region of Paris, an area that is home to several international corporate headquarters. The hotel, which is due to open in 2021, is being developed in partnership with franchisee Naos Hôtel Groupe owner Icade and will operate under a franchise agreement. The hotel is located at 11 Rue de Cambrai, Paris.

Hilton Garden Inn Tours Centre and Hampton by Hilton Tours Centre

Expected to open in 2021, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton Tours Centre will open within the same development through a partnership with real estate developer Eiffage Immobilier. The city-center properties will comprise a 100-guestroom Hilton Garden Inn and 70-guestroom Hampton by Hilton hotel. Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton Tours Centre are also owned and developed by Naos Hôtel Groupe and will operate under franchise agreements. The hotels are located at 2 rue Nationale, Tours.

Hilton Garden Inn Paris Orly Airport

Located 3 kilometers from France’s second busiest airport, Hilton Garden Inn Paris Orly Airport will open adjacent to more than 200 companies in the Icade Orly Business Park. The 105-guestroom hotel will be operated by an affiliate of Borealis Hotel Group under a franchise agreement. Hilton Garden Inn Paris Orly Airport is located at 4 Place des Etats-Unis, Paris.

Hampton by Hilton Lille Sud

When it opens in 2020, the 141-guestroom Hampton by Hilton Lille Sud will be part of a new mixed-used development in Lille. The property is owned by Bari Gruppe GmbH & Co. and will operate under franchise agreement on Rue du Faubourg des Postes, Lille.

In addition to the above properties, Hilton is set to open new hotels in Toulouse, Nice and Bordeaux with partners including Groupe Reaumur France and NT Hotel Gallery.
