NexPoint Hospitality Trust buys select-service Florida hotel

NexPoint Hospitality Trust has purchased the Hampton Inn & Suites Bradenton (Fla.) Downtown Historic District from The Widewaters Group. Tim Osborne and Trey Scott, SVP at Hunter Hotel Advisors, advised the sellers.

“The Hunter Team, led by Tim Osborne and Trey Scott, ran a competitive process that yielded numerous qualified offers," said Bill Holstein, SVP of The Widewaters Group, in a statement. "Their keen understanding of current market conditions and the pool of active buyers produced favorable results for our ownership."

"With this property, the new owners are acquiring one of the strongest brands in the Hilton family in a virtually pandemic-proof market," Osborne said. "The area surrounding Bradenton was one of the least impacted markets in the country in 2020. We expect the Hampton Inn & Suites Bradenton Downtown Historic District will continue to thrive in the coming years."

Bradenton is located along Florida's Gulf Coast, south of the greater Tampa Bay area and north of Sarasota. The 119-room property is within walking distance of the waterfront. The hotel has a fitness center, outdoor pool and meeting space. Widewaters renovated the property in 2013.
