Hunter postpones 2021 conference to May

Hunter Hotel Advisors, after “careful thought and in-depth conversations with industry partners and board members,” has opted to reschedule its 2021 Hunter Hotel Investment Conference.

After canceling the 2020 conference as the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic first appeared in the U.S., the company announced the event would next be held March 9-11 this year. The event will now be held May 10-12 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, with both live and on-demand sessions available for remote attendees.

Lee Hunter, chairman and COO of Hunter, released a statement on the decision:

"Back in March, we made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 conference with the hopes of resuming in March 2021. In our commitment to deliver the most relevant content, meaningful networking, and the opportunity to gather again safely—the 32nd Hunter Hotel Investment Conference will take place May 10-12, 2021, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

"Our focus remains consistent: a hotel real estate and finance conference designed for owners and investors. More than ever, we believe that it is vital to provide a place and time for the hotel industry to come together. From education via the industry’s leading experts to continuing to build on the power of relationships, we are moving forward to provide an in-person conference with the opportunity to tune in virtually.

"We have been earnestly preparing for the conference and greatly appreciate the support of our advisory board members, speakers, sponsors and partners who have continued to walk with us through these challenging times. Through the many circumstances we have had to overcome, one thing we know has proven to stand true: the resilience of our industry, for whom we continue to hold this conference."
