Mainsail rebrands, expands corporate housing venture

Mainsail Lodging and Development has launched Stay Sojo, a rebranded and expanded evolution of the company’s Mainsail Corporate Housing venture.

Inspired by the word “sojourn,” Stay Sojo is a collection of fully furnished one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes throughout the U.S., available for short- and long-term stays.

Stay Sojo offers flexible month-to-month stays in more than 100 cities throughout the U.S., with shorter stay options in some locations.

“Just like the rest of the travel industry, the short-term rental space has been radically impacted by the events of the past 18 months, creating new opportunities for us to innovate and better meet the business and leisure travel needs of our guests,” said Joe Collier, founder and president of Mainsail Lodging and Development. “Stay Sojo has taken the exceptional service, product and people behind Mainsail’s corporate housing success and elevated the experience from start to finish, catering to professional travelers who want a more personalized and memorable stay no matter the journey they’re on.”

Collier predicted a strong year ahead for the short-term rental industry. “Indications are for positive growth—average occupancy is rebounding and estimated to grow 30 percent this year, with the industry returning to 2019 booking levels by 2023,” he added. “Now is the perfect time to introduce Stay Sojo.”

By launching Stay Sojo, Mainsail is looking to establish itself among the growing number of companies and services competing in the alternative accommodations sector. Located in many major markets nationwide and appealing to these “work from anywhere” travelers, Stay Sojo’s apartment homes are professionally styled with fully equipped kitchens, in-suite laundry and laptop-friendly work areas. Some units are also pet-friendly.
