Radisson opens in Philadelphia’s Center City district

Radisson Hotel Group has opened the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia following an extensive multi-million-dollar renovation to showcase the brand’s Scandinavian design.

The former Skyview Plaza Hotel & Suites’ top-to-bottom renovation includes all 212 guestrooms. Suites at the hotel have in-suite kitchenettes along with separate seating areas for larger groups.

The Center City hotel has an entirely new open-concept lobby area with individual check-in pods, coffee and tea facilities, a snack shop, and the Whit Lounge, the hotel’s onsite bar and restaurant. The new meeting room holds up to 275 attendees. The hotel also has a fitness center and Park ‘N Fly airport parking and valet services.

“Philadelphia is a city full of history that attracts a mix of guests from across the U.S. and the world,” said Tom Buoy, interim CEO, Radisson Hotel Group Americas, in a statement. “We are excited to establish a newly renovated property in such a convenient location in South Philadelphia that is sure to keep guests occupied and immersed in the many activities the city has to offer. This opening is yet another milestone in the development of the Radisson brand in a key downtown market.”
