Radisson plans Turkey debut for flagship brand

Radisson Hospitality AB has signed a deal to open the Radisson Hotel Bursa in Q4 2020, a first for the brand in Turkey.

The agreement with Turkish real estate and construction company IHY Gayrimenkul İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. increases the Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in Turkey to 25 hotels and more than 4,600 rooms in operation and under development.

The 163-room hotel will feature restaurants, a lobby lounge bar, a pool bar and grill. Meeting space will include two large conference halls, three meeting rooms, two boardrooms and a business center. Leisure facilities will include a spa, a gym and a swimming pool.

The property will be located in Nilufer, the newest district of Bursa. The city is the fourth-largest in Turkey and is an industrial hub, with automotive, textile, food and tourism businesses. Bursa also is the second European destination in terms of geothermal tourism.

The announcement comes just days after the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Vadistanbul in Istanbul, part of a joint venture of Artaş İnşaat, Evyap and Invest İnşaat.
