Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans debuts new residence, spa reno

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans debuted a new top suite, The Residence, along with a renewal of its spa.

Marzipan Interior Designs oversaw the renovation of both the Residence and The Ritz-Carlton Spa, which sought to blend elegance with the playful nature of New Orleans.

The Residence has more than 6,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space above the French Quarter. The accommodation has two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a private outdoor terrace.

An art collection of regional craftspeople in a variety of mediums was curated by local galleries including Arthur Roger Gallery, Octavia Gallery and Carol Robinson Gallery. Design elements inspired by the city’s  hidden courtyards, the hotel’s French Quarter location and history as well as the residences found in the Garden District work within the color palette, furnishings and decor of the new suite.

The 3,500-square-foot outdoor terrace can host events of up to 100. The space has an outdoor seating area with a fireplace and water feature as well as a garden. The suite can also host events for up to 50 indoors.

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans spa also got a new design. As the largest spa in the Crescent City, covering 25,000 square feet, the upgrade gave the 22 treatment rooms, salon and relaxation areas a color palette of soft greys and creams for a tranquil atmosphere.
