The Woodlands Resort to join Hilton's Curio Collection

The Woodlands Resort will soon become the first Curio Collection by Hilton branded resort in Texas.

Along with its Jan. 4, 2022, transition to the portfolio, the 402-room property is slated for renovations projected to begin in Q2 2022. The property will unveil a new model for its guestrooms in the spring.

“We’re eager to continue the evolution of this outstanding legacy property with an array of improvements that will elevate the sense of place, functionality, comfort and desirability for corporate and social groups, weddings, plus business and leisure travelers,” said CoralTree Hospitality Group VP Scott Spann, who oversees The Woodlands Hotels group, which also includes The Westin at The Woodlands and Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing.

Among the key areas of capital focus are health and wellness, food and beverage and outdoor events. Existing amenities include two golf courses, a bike and kayak fleet, the Forest Oasis lazy river and waterpark and a tennis center with 21 courts. The property also recently debuted Back Table Kitchen & Bar.

The 10,000-square-foot spa will get a top-to-bottom makeover, including repositioning the spa pool. As a complement, the fitness facility will be expanded and modernized with new equipment. A new lobby bar with a grab-and-go and specialty market will be part of the upgrades to existing restaurant and bar spaces. Overlooking Lake Harrison, the 3,000-square-foot Forest Deck will become an alfresco venue for meetings, ceremonies and receptions. A curated art program will tie areas together.
