Anthony Laurino transforms three Broughton Hotels properties in Chicago

Broughton Hotels unveiled top-to-bottom transformations of three Chicago hotels: The Majestic Hotel (located at 528 West Brompton), The Willows Hotel (555 West Surf) and City Suites Chicago (933 West Belmont).

Initially built during the 1920s in Chicago's Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, each property now has new lobby furnishings, enhanced lighting, window treatments, linens, carpeting and custom artwork. City Suites Chicago also has new guestrooms.

Anthony Laurino of the California-based design firm ALD Designs created the concepts for each hotel’s renovation as part of the revitalization of the Lakeview neighborhood surrounding Wrigley Field.

The 52-room Majestic Hotel is located amid brownstones in a residential area one block from Lake Michigan. It is within walking distance to Wrigley Field, minutes from downtown Chicago and near various attractions on Broadway, Halsted and Clark Street. The baseball theme of the re-designed lobby, front desk and check-in area pay homage to the city's history.

The 55-room Willows Hotel, a landmark building that was a regular haunt of Al Capone, now has a redesigned lobby with ties to the local Lincoln Park area and the Lincoln Park Zoo. The highlight of the redesigned lobby is a fireplace, surrounded by a newly designed receiving area and front desk as well as modern furniture throughout.

Meanwhile, the 45-room City Suites Chicago has a renovated lobby that now has new décor and urban art, along with a new entry leading up to the front desk, a fireplace and lobby area that were also reimagined. The redecorated guestrooms and suites have new light fixtures and new color schemes.

Broughton Hotels’ portfolio currently includes 16 hotels in California and Illinois.
