Florida Hyatt Regency wraps meeting space renovation

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville (Fla.) Riverfront has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation, updating the property’s meeting space with a fresh color palette, new carpeting, new wall coverings and updated light fixtures.

“As Northeast Florida’s largest meeting and event facility, we are excited to announce the completion of our meeting space renovation to provide an updated meeting experience for groups,” said GM Joe Hindsley. “Our new space features modern and sophisticated updates that will enhance the meeting experience for events of all sizes, from small intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences and hybrid functions. We look forward to debuting the completed project in time to kick off 2022.”

The color palette in the hotel’s meeting venues was updated from darker earth tones to more neutral blues and grays. The new carpet has a range of dark blues accented by intricate line-work patterns, and the space has been refreshed with fresh nude and light gray wall coverings, dark gray and taupe accent walls, deep gray entry doors with gold finishes, chandeliers and modern light fixtures. The project also updated the elevator waiting areas and meeting-space bathrooms.

The hotel has 118,000 square feet of event space, making it the largest meeting facility in Northeast Florida. Groups can also meet on the hotel’s 20,000-square-foot deck that overlooks the St. Johns River. Balconies range in size to accommodate between 300 and 3,200 people.

The hotel’s 27,984-square-foot Grand Ballroom is complemented by a chandelier-lined foyer with arched windows overlooking the river. Additional venue options include several boardrooms, hospitality suites and junior ballrooms.
