Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf San Francisco has completed a multiphased renovation, repositioning the 316-room property as a design-focused hotel rooted in sustainability and wellness.
Executed in partnership with MindClick, the renovation integrates verified sustainable materials and operational practices throughout, from custom furnishings to energy-efficient in-room appliances. The multimillion-dollar project also includes more than 19,000 sq.-feet of refreshed meeting and event space.
“San Francisco has long set the standard for innovation and environmental stewardship,” general manager Greg Nomura said in a statement. “This renovation reflects that spirit through thoughtful design, responsible material selection and a guest experience that feels connected to the city.”
The redesign prioritizes indoor environmental quality, incorporating low-VOC and toxin-free materials across all spaces. Wall coverings, carpeting paint and furnishings feature responsibly sourced and repurposed elements, including wool carpeting made from renewable resources and padding derived from recycled construction waste. Additional sustainability measures include plant-based, recyclable packaging and sourcing partnerships aimed at lowering carbon emissions.
Design throughout the California hotel draws inspiration from the surrounding waterfront, blending a refined coastal palette with modern, low-impact materials. Guestrooms feature nautical influences, floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-functional workspaces.
Food and beverage offerings are anchored by Brick & Beam, the hotel’s signature restaurant and bar, which highlights locally inspired cuisine and sustainably sourced seafood in a maritime setting.
The upgraded meetings and event space includes redesigned venues that emphasize wellness, flexibility and functionality. The event space is designed to accommodate a range of uses, from corporate meetings to social events, supported by customizable catering programs.
Located near Pier 39 in the Fisherman’s Wharf district, the hotel offers access to key leisure and business demand drivers, including the Embarcadero, North Beach and Union Square. On-property amenities include a heated outdoor pool, dedicated yoga space and multiple dining outlets, including The Wardroom and The Market.
