JCJ Architecture to lead design on expansion of Oklahoma casino resort

JCJ Architecture was tapped to oversee the design for the expansion of the Choctaw Nation's existing resort property in Durant, Okla.

JCJ Architecture will work alongside the design-builder Tutor Perini Building Company and design partner Friedmutter Group to reimagine the Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant. The team will also work with TynanGroup LLC, a real estate development group selected as developer for the expansion.

With design work beginning immediately, the project is expected to break ground in late spring of 2019 and will be completed within 24 months.

The planned expansion will increase gaming capacity and will include a new 1,000-guestroom hotel, parking garage, retail, conference center, restaurants, resort style pools and entertainment venues.

Founded in 1936, JCJ Architecture is an employee-owned firm with offices in Atlanta, Boston, Hartford, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix, San Diego and Tulsa.
