Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa completes second phase of renovation

The Marriott Hilton Head (S.C) Resort & Spa has completed the second phase of its renovation, which involved a comprehensive upgrade of guestrooms and suites. This follows a recent refurbishment of the resort’s public spaces, dining areas and event venues.

Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa is owned and managed by Columbia Sussex and located in the residential community of Palmetto Dunes. The property is close to three miles of beach, three PGA golf courses and 2,000 acres of space for outdoor activities, including an 11-mile lagoon system.

The resort’s renovation includes a redesign of the 513 guestrooms and suites, including the presidential suite and four vice presidential suites. The new design combines earthy tones with shades of sea glass and gray. Renovations include new entryway tile, vanities, showers, carpet, paint and headboards that portray a mural of the coastline. Each room has ocean or island views.

The upgrades also incorporated architectural framing and contrasting finishes in the rooms. Amenities for guests include outlets with USB ports, large desks with an illuminated workspace, in-room coffee bars and large mirrors.

Improvements to the resort’s entrance included a resurfaced driveway, herringbone pavers for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic and new LED architectural accent lighting. The exterior of all buildings has been repainted using a coating technology specifically designed to withstand the salty coastal air.
