Orlando resort debuts updated suites

The Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando has completed new enhancements to its 37 Grande Suites and 69 Executive Suites.

The new Grande Suites feature updated pops of color as well as bold designs and prints. An op art swirl-patterned carpet in brown and taupe sets the groundwork for a slate-blue traditional sofa. Bursts of color in cylindrical porcelain lamps of persimmon red and accent chairs in burnished orange add dramatic touches to the sitting area. The suites also have a traditional wood dining table with seating for eight people. Matching chairs with mustard leather cushions have linen-upholstered backs patterned with burnt gold and dark brown intertwined waves. Hand-forged metal candleholders lift the mood for a ravishing, modern look.

The Executive Suites have an eco-chic approach with softer, nearly monochromatic creamy hues accented by shades of birch browns and aqua blues. The suites were designed to evoke the nearby beaches through new plush carpeting with “dancing” fleur-de-lis in cream, taupe and milk chocolate; as well as the creams, taupes and whites in the traditional sofa and matching furnishings. A table with six matching wood chairs add muted gold, taupe and steel blue hues, while the throw pillows and objets d’art are in teal and sky blue hues.

Bedside tables have QI-tech alarm clocks that can recharge guest phones. LED bulbs in lamps and fixtures provide true natural lighting, and the 55-inch flat-panel TVs in guestrooms offer both cable and Google TV offerings. Parlor suites have 65-inch flat-screen TVs.
