Five-star Edinburgh hotel The Chester Residence is undergoing a £1-million refurbishment scheduled to be finished this May. The refurbishment is being carried out by Aberdeen-based firms Ambiance Interior Design and Bentleys.

Upon completion of the renovation, many apartments will have contemporary décor, including accent patterns with geometric prints to complement the current palette. A combination of Elitis and Armani Casa wallpapers were chosen by interior designer Karen McKimmie, and key furnishings will be updated with fabric from companies such as Mulberry Home.

Technology upgrades will include faster Wi-Fi connectivity and new 55-inch Smart TVs and Blu-ray DVD players. Aberdeen’s Glencraft is supplying new beds throughout the hotel.
