HM on Location: AHLA tech committee celebrates AI at The Hospitality Show

LAS VEGAS — During the first full day of activities at The Hospitality Show, the debut event from the American Hotel and Lodging Association and Hotel Management publisher Questex Hospitality currently being held at The Venetian, the AHLA’s technology committee HTNG recognized 10 semifinalists during the TechOvation Awards for the most significant innovations in hospitality technology. The committee ultimately named PolyAI Guest-Led Voice Assistants the 2023 HTNG TechOvation award winner.

HTNG's TechOvation Award recognizes and rewards the latest technology innovation throughout all sectors of the hospitality industry. The guest-led voice assistants use advanced conversational artificial intelligence to understand and respond to common guest requests during calls to the front desk or contact center.

Judges and members of The Hospitality Show audience picked this year’s winner from ten semifinalists who presented their products to The Hospitality Show attendees.

The judging panel consisted of Aimbridge Hospitality’s Andrew Arthurs, Loews Hotels’ Dan Kornick, KSL Resorts’ Kristie Goshow and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Scott Strickland.

Each year, the AHLA Technology Acceleration Award will recognize companies that have taken specific steps to advance innovation in hospitality. This year, the award showcased companies that have adopted HTNG Express, a new solution that shortens the process for post-booking hotel property management system integrations from months to just days.
