Positron Access Solutions expands capacity of Virtuoso PRO EMS

Positron Access Solutions has expanded the capacity of its Virtuoso PRO Element Management Solution (EMS) to support larger-scale hospitality networks.

The company also outlined upcoming additions to the Virtuoso platform, including two companion tools scheduled for release in July 2026. Virtuoso Prelude is designed to support the site survey process and assist in developing site-specific design and deployment plans. Virtuoso Overture, meanwhile, looks to support installation workflows for the Positron Access GAM (Gigabit Any Media) solution, including verification and validation of deployments.

“With the scalability enhancements to Virtuoso PRO and the launch of the Prelude and Overture companion tools to Virtuoso, Positron Access once again raises the bar on state-of-the-art Gigabit Ethernet over Coax connectivity to the guestroom,” Pierre Trudeau, President and CTO of Positron Access Solutions, said in a statement. “This unique combination of new tools is timely to support the fast-growing number of hotels that leverage the Positron GAM solution, as they look to offer the best possible connected guest experience across their portfolio.”

According to the Quebec-based company, the combined use of these tools is intended to support larger-scale installations and reduce costs associated with re-cabling existing infrastructure.

Virtuoso Prelude is intended to collect site data to inform network design and installation planning across property types and sizes, including multi-thousand-room developments. Virtuoso Overture will monitor installation, provisioning and activation of the GAM solution during deployment.

Since its introduction in 2021, the GAM platform has been used to support modernization of legacy buildings by leveraging existing coaxial infrastructure to deliver high-speed connectivity to guestrooms.
