Virdee, Assa Abloy partner for contactless check-in

Technology company Virdee has entered into the certified partner program by Assa Abloy Global Solutions to develop a contactless check-in and mobile-access solution for joint hospitality customers and third-party integrators.

Virdee’s contactless check-in flow lets ID-verified users obtain keys for building access either at an in-lobby check-in station and/or digitally through its mobile app.

By equipping properties with Visionline’s access-management technology, Assa Abloy gives properties the ability to manage both offline or online-based locks. The integration of Assa Abloy's access solutions into Virdee’s virtual reception platform aims to give hoteliers and their guests a self-service check-in experience.

Mobile Access by Assa Abloy Global Solutions also utilizes data encryption protocols to prevent unauthorized access. This includes the use of secure communication channels to deliver digital keys and room number information to guest devices that is then stored within a digital strongbox on a guest-facing mobile app.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Assa Abloy Global Solutions as a certified partner moving forward,” said Branigan Mulcahy, Virdee co-founder. “The hoteliers, asset owners and property managers who rely on Assa Abloy Global Solutions and its VingCard products can now use Virdee to bridge the gap between contactless check-in and contactless access when they want a self-service experience.”

“In an era of disruptive change and shifting models in guest services and operations, Virdee provides a new standard—leading the industry toward the adoption of contactless, guest-centric transactions to reduce costs, increase margins and boost profitability,” said Nadav Cornberg, Virdee co-founder and chief technologist. “This collaboration ensures our joint customers have the type of contactless experience needed to provide flexibility for guests and owners.”
