Ascent Hospitality buys The Chattanoogan Hotel

Ascent Hospitality, a hotel management and development company acquired The Chattanoogan Hotel, a 198-room property in Chattanooga, Tenn. Ascent will modernize and renovate the hotel’s upscale guestrooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, pool and lobby areas, and will rebrand as a Curio Collection by Hilton property.

Located at 1201 Broad Street in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, the hotel has views of Lookout Mountain, is 6 miles from Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport and is in close proximity to the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls.

“The Chattanoogan is a great opportunity for Ascent Hospitality,” Doug Marks, VP of operations, Ascent Hospitality, said in a statement. “With a great team in place and a commitment on making this a premier property, we’re excited for what lies ahead. The city of Chattanooga deserves a lot of credit for developing this property as a catalyst to stimulate the redevelopment of the area.”
