CBRE arranges sale of San Diego Crowne Plaza

CBRE Hotels arranged the sale of the 419-room Crowne Plaza Hanalei located in the heart of Mission Valley at 2270 Hotel Circle North in San Diego, Calif., for an undisclosed price.

Hanalei Associates, with Multi-Ventures, as managing member, sold the hotel to a private client of Brighton Management. CBRE Hotels’ Bob Kaplan & Rod Apodaca, SVPs in Newport Beach, represented the seller in this transaction. Brighton will manage the property.

“I am very pleased we were able to secure a buyer who will continue the great Hanalei tradition of quality service and guest experience that this property has offered San Diego visitors for over forty years,” Kaplan said in a statement.

Situated on nearly 10 acres of prime San Diego real estate, the iconic Mission Valley landmark will continue under the Crowne Plaza flag with renovations and upgrades planned for the property. The 419-room, full-service Hanalei is strategically located along Interstate-8 and Mission Valley’s Hotel Circle with easy access and proximity to the world-famous San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Old Town, Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter and San Diego beaches.
