Hong Kong-based hospitality owner-operator Ovolo Group has purchased the Citadines Kuta Beach Bali, the group's first property outside Hong Kong and Australia.
The 194-guestroom property consists of 182 studio rooms, nine one-bedroom suites and three two-bedroom suites; an all-day restaurant; a rooftop pool and bar; a gym; and conferencing facilities.
Ovolo will outline its plans to bring the property in line with the group's “ethos and aesthetic” early next year, according to the company.
“This acquisition demonstrates our vision to become a truly global hospitality company,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder & CEO of Ovolo Group, noting the company’s plans to expand internationally with a focus on Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and the U.K. “We look forward to being able to reinvent this hotel and its food and drink concepts in true Ovolo style.”
Ovolo Group operates four hotels and four restaurants in Hong Kong, as well as six hotels and five restaurants across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. Ovolo also is developing new hotels in Melbourne (South Yarra and South Melbourne) and Bali, Indonesia. Ovolo Group also recently launched Mojo Nomad, a co-habitation concept currently located in Hong Kong's Central and Aberdeen Harbour neighborhoods. The concept is set to launch in Australia in the future.
