Marcus & Millichap brokers Comfort Inn sale for $6.6M

Marcus & Millichap, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, brokers the sale of the Comfort Inn in Ocala, Fla., for $6,615,000. Other terms were not disclosed.

"This sale was an encouraging reminder that market challenges still can be navigated for a successful transaction," Robert Hunter, senior vice president, investments, said in a statement. "The recent volatility in Florida’s hotel market has slowed transaction volume, but there is still widespread optimism for the future of the state, particularly from the perspective of an out-of-state investor." 

Hunter and Leo Reilly, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Fort Lauderdale office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer, a local LLC.

The 55-room hotel is located at 1212 S. Pine Ave., situated east of Interstate-75 and directly off U.S. Highway 27. The hotel spans 81,457 square feet over 1.87 acres. Amenities include a business center, complimentary breakfast and meeting rooms. The hotel is near Silver Springs State Park, AdventHealth Ocala, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and the Ocala International Airport.
