The Centennial Hotel—a 32-room boutique hotel in downtown Concord, N.H.—has been acquired by Lord Hotels in a deal brokered by JLL. Hotel owner Sparta Properties—which sold the asset to New England-based Lord Hotels—completed a series of capital improvements between 2023 and 2024, including renovations to guestrooms, refurbishment of the hotel's restaurant and upgrades to building systems. Other terms and conditions were not disclosed.
The hotel occupies a Victorian-era building dating to 1898 that was converted into a hotel in 1996. The property sits on 1.85 acres within walking distance of the New Hampshire State House, the Federal Courthouse and the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
The JLL team representing the seller was led by senior managing director Alan Suzuki. John Linell served as JLL's New Hampshire broker of record for the transaction.
“We continue to see high-net-worth individuals and families gravitating toward boutique hotel acquisitions, particularly assets with strong stories and strategic locations like The Centennial Hotel,” Suzuki said in statement. “This Victorian-era property offered an ideal combination of recent capital improvements, unencumbered operations and immediate upside through hands-on management and food & beverage optimization.”
Amenities at The Centennial Hotel include a fitness center, business center, complimentary Wi-Fi, on-site parking, an electric vehicle charging station and continental breakfast. The property's restaurant, Granite Restaurant & Bar, has 65 dining room seats and nine bar seats. The hotel also includes 1,785-square-feet of meeting and event space.
