Development and management company NexGen Hotels has acquired the Holiday Inn St. Petersburg (Fla.) West. Other terms were not disclosed. The 129-room hotel will be managed by Genuine Hospitality Group of St. Louis.
Centrally situated on I-19 and minutes away from downtown St. Petersburg, the Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West has easy access to Tropicana Field, the Dali Museum, Morean Arts Center, Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater and Al Lang Stadium. The hotel is also near the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg campus, St. Petersburg College, Stetson University, and shopping, dining and entertainment options.
“We are thrilled to add to our growing portfolio and extend our footprint into the St. Petersburg area,” NexGen Hotels President Chris Patel said in a statement. “This acquisition offers NexGen Hotels an excellent opportunity to become a key player in the strong hotel market in St. Petersburg.”
Hotel amenities include an outdoor resort-style heated swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a fitness center, a grab-and-go market, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a boardroom. The Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West has a full-service restaurant/bar serving breakfast and dinner, as well as poolside drinks and snacks.
