Titan sale delayed over virus

Saga’s sale of its Titan Travel escorted leisure business was reported to have been delayed as a result of the spread of the coronavirus.

The company was thought to have postponed the auction while the outlook for international travel remained uncertain.

Sky News reported that advisers to Saga had recommended the move for Titan Travel, which provides escorted holidays to countries including Egypt, South Africa and the US.

A number of private equity firms were preparing offers for Titan, which is estimated to be valued at more than £100m.
