Pacific Hospitality Group is renovating and repositioning the Hotel Granduca Austin in Texas.
The property will get a new spa in addition to a complete overhaul of the restaurant and bar and a renovated pool deck and lobby. The hotel will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be completed in early fall. The renovation design and construction is being overseen by interior design firm Hotel Studio, McCabe Architecture, Digney York Associates, and PHG.
“The renovations we bring to Hotel Granduca Austin will not only enhance the beautiful retreat that has served guests the past seven years, but will also pay homage to the slow life and spirit of Italy,” said Hotel Granduca GM David Putnicki said in a statement. “We want the hotel to be an escape from the hustle and bustle of Austin, a retreat for guests from across the country, and a place for them to relax and recharge, if only for the day at our new spa or while enjoying a glass of wine and dinner at the restaurant. Once our renovations are complete, Hotel Granduca will give a sense of ‘la dolce vita’ for anyone visiting.”
The 190,000-square-foot Hotel Granduca covers 38 acres and has an Italian-inspired design. The renovated lobby will have a “living room” lounging area and small boutique selling featuring local goods and necessities. The pool deck redesign will include a fireplace and cabanas. The spa will open on the second floor of the hotel and will have a relaxation lounge as well as men’s and women’s locker rooms complete with a steam room and sauna. The eight-treatment-room facility will include a designated couple’s suite as well as a private spa suite with with experiential shower and hydrotherapy tub.
Hotel Granduca’s on-premise dining, patio and bar will have an Italian-inspired design.
