Graduate Hotels plans property near Alabama's Auburn University

Graduate Hotels is set to open a hotel in Auburn, Ala. The ground-up, new-construction Graduate Auburn is under development and expected to open in 2024. Graduate Auburn will have 177 guestrooms across five stories, two food-and-beverage outlets including a rooftop bar and restaurant, on-site parking and more than 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The property will be across the street from the Auburn University campus.

“Auburn is such a quintessential college town and deeply rooted in the types of stories and traditions that inspire the Graduate Hotels brand each and every day,” Graduate Hotels CEO and founder Ben Weprin said in a statement. “It’s an honor to finally be embarking upon a project located steps from this incredible campus and to have the opportunity to bring life to the storied Auburn experience throughout the design on-property. We can’t wait to finish this project and welcome in students, the neighboring community and alums from near and far.”

Designed by the Graduate Hotels in-house design team, the Auburn property’s decor will take inspiration from the history and traditions of the university, from “loud statements” to “more subtle nods.”

Graduate Hotels was founded in 2014. There are currently 33 open and operating Graduate Hotels properties throughout the U.S. and U.K., with two additional hotels under development in Dallas and Princeton, N.J.
