Mama Shelter plans to open in Belgrade, Serbia

Mama Shelter is moving into Serbia with plans to open the Mama Shelter Belgrade. The property will be located along Ulica Knez Mihailova, a pedestrian promenade in the Serbian capital, and is expected to open in early 2018.

The 125-guestroom Mama Shelter Belgrade will have design elements from Jalil Amor. The décor will pay homage to the capital’s Ottoman history with women kilim rugs on the floors and a palate of matte colors, vintage prints, and sofas that rework the eastern bloc aesthetic.

A 5,000-square-foot terrace will have views of The White City’s ancient citadels and concrete towers.

Mama Shelter Belgrade will be one of two Mama properties in Eastern Europe, with Mama Shelter Prague opening in early 2018 as well.
