Brick Hospitality to manage San Diego hotel

Brick Hospitality, a San Diego-based hotel management company, will manage the Balboa Park Hotel in San Diego. Formerly known as Hotel Occidental, the Balboa Park Hotel is coming off the heels of a transformative renovation following its acquisition in 2022 by Surf Cowboy Elm.

Situated in Banker’s Hill, Balboa Park Hotel is a premier boutique destination, with a captivating blend of sexy, surf-chic vibes and contemporary decor. Boasting an authentic, independent style that permeates the guest experience, this hotel distinguishes itself from its boutique counterparts. Centrally located and within walking distance to the historic Gaslamp and Little Italy districts, as well as the Convention Center, the hotel is convenient.

"We are thrilled to unveil this beautiful hotel as we wrap up a two-year rebranding journey," hotel owner Adam Dailey said in a statement. "This iconic property holds a special place in the hearts of many, and we are committed to preserving its unique charm while infusing modern elements to make it a guest favorite in San Diego."

Brick Hospitality, renowned for its comprehensive suite of hotel management services, including acquisitions, development, design, renovations, and marketing, is led by CEO Dallas King and Robert Rauch, serving as chairman and chief strategist.

"This is an exciting chapter for the Balboa Park Hotel," Brick Hospitality COO Sarah Lynch said. "With our team's collective expertise and dedication, we are committed to delivering an unmatched guest experience, combining historic allure with contemporary comfort."
