As expected due to the Thanksgiving holiday, between Nov. 19-25 U.S. hotel performance fell week over week, according to CoStar’s latest data.
For the week (percentage change from comparable week in 2022):
- Occupancy: 49.4 percent (-1.4 percent)
- Average daily rate: $138.29 (+0.9 percent)
- Revenue per available room: $68.32 (-0.6 percent)
Top Markets
Among CoStar’s top 25 markets, Hawaii’s Oahu Island saw the largest year-over-year increases in occupancy (+9.4 percent to 76.3 percent) and RevPAR (+16.3 percent to $227.92).
Las Vegas posted the largest ADR lift (+10 percent to $158.13).
The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in Minneapolis (-18.8 percent to $38.93) and San Francisco (-11.4 percent to $65.99).
