Meyer Davis Studio completes upgrade of Florida Hilton

The Hilton West Palm Beach has completed a $25 million property-wide renovation. Led by South Florida-based owner Related Companies, the updated hotel is connected to the Palm Beach County Convention Center and steps away from the city center.

“Hilton West Palm Beach has been a beacon of hospitality in Downtown West Palm Beach since opening in 2016,” GM Chris Inman said in a statement. “As we envision the next decade and beyond, we are proud to continue evolving with the introduction of new experiences such as Palma, our signature lobby bar, and improvements across the hotel to exceed today’s traveler’s needs.”

Led by New York City-based design boutique Meyer Davis Studio, the property’s new look and feel begins in the lobby with the launch of the new bar and encompasses all accommodations and outdoor spaces, including the pool deck and revitalized food and beverage options.

The hotel’s lobby is decorated with native plants, Florida-inspired motifs and seating vignettes. Palma, the new signature lobby bar, is decorated in gold accents and neutral-toned furniture.

The reimagined pool deck is lined with palm trees and plant life. Six newly constructed private cabanas, designed with reclaimed wood and natural fabrics, have personal televisions, a mini refrigerator, private lounge chairs and a dedicated server. Fitness and entertainment activities are held on the lawn.

Executive Chef Rodrigo Mezadri oversees the hotel's four dining venues, including the updated Galley (with an outdoor patio and fire pit), Mezzo, Provisions and the poolside La Playa restaurant.

Hilton West Palm Beach also has a collection of modern art curated by Austin, Texas-based Eaton Fine Art. The collection champions local artists from underrepresented communities, drawing inspiration from the scenery of West Palm Beach. Galley showcases an art collection that includes black-and-white photography of native wildlife by Florida-based photographer Liesl Marelli, images by Christina Cernik Wof and portraits from Bahamian photographer Blair Meadows. Selected artwork in the newly redesigned suites include drawings by Mark Rebennack, paintings from Cuban-American visual artist Juan Alonso-Rodríguez and mixed media collages by Kaylee Dalton. The backlit lobby installation displays local flora carved into a wood veneer. The custom copper metal wall art behind the lobby concierge desk, debuting at the hotel’s opening in 2016, features hand-forged iron, with each piece acting as a ripple in a tide, complementing the ceiling panels, etched with leaf contours.
