Romanian hotel adopts VingCard Allure locks

Mercure Timisoara in Romania has selected Assa Abloy Global Solutions to provide its keyless room entry with the implementation of VingCard Allure door locks and mobile access.

Using an LED panel that is implemented adjacent to guestroom doors, VingCard Allure is equipped with radio frequency ID security encryption technology while being capable of integrating with a hotel’s guestroom management system. This allows the hotel to determine when a guest first enters the room, with in-room Internet of Things-based amenities such as lighting and thermostats able to automatically adjust to ensure that each guest experiences.

These features can also be leveraged to lower a hotel’s energy costs by determining when a guestroom becomes unoccupied and adjusting amenity settings accordingly. Using in-room-supplied tablets, Merucre Timisoara guests can use VingCard Allure to instantly post housekeeping or do-not-disturb notifications to the hallway-facing panels. With VingCard Allure’s compatibility with mobile access, guests are also able to sidestep the need to visit the front desk upon arrival.
