Orlando World Center Marriott launches the “World Finder” smartphone app in partnership with MeetingPlay. Using iBeacon technology and 3D mapping, the interactive wayfinding program provides guests with turn-by-turn, point-by-point navigation and directions in the palm of their hands.
“The app provides a virtual concierge in our guests’ pockets, which aligns perfectly with our goal of providing top-notch services and interactive experiences for our group and leisure guests alike,” said Gary Dybul, director of sales and marketing at Orlando World Center Marriott, in a statement.
Once travelers download the free World Finder app, available in both Apple and Google Play stores for iOS- and Android-based smartphones, guests can pinpoint their exact location on-property and use the app to navigate the resort with ease. From step-by-step directions to guestrooms, meeting spaces and the nearest restrooms to supplying information on the property’s dining outlets, entertainment and recreational offerings, including access to hours of operation, menus and more.
An additional app feature incorporates the “Near Me” function to locate onsite offerings nearby.
