Omega Hotel Group has sold the Best Western Sugar Sands Inn & Suites in Destin, Fla. to an institutional buyer earlier this month. Other terms were not disclosed. Hunter Hotel Advisors Senior Vice President Shamir Patel executed the transaction. The new buyer intends to reposition the property as a Spark by Hilton.
The Best Western Sugar Sands Inn & Suites has 137 keys. Situated off Emerald Coast Parkway, the hotel provides easy access to Destin’s white sand beaches. With approximately 4.5 million visitors visiting to Destin annually, the hotel stands ready to cater to the steady stream of tourists.
“We had the privilege of representing both the seller and buyer on this transaction,” Patel said in a statement. “Destin is one of the most sought-after markets in Florida, with an almost impossible barrier to entry. We are very excited to see what this new Spark by Hilton brand can do there.”
