Cambria Hotel breaks ground near Orlando airport

Green Stay Hospitality broke ground on a 106-room Cambria Hotel near Orlando International Airport in December. The company, an affiliate of Orlando-based Reddy Hotels, expects to open the five-story hotel in early 2021.

The Cambria will be located less than 2 miles from the airport. It will be a short drive from theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld, as well as within a 30-minute drive of the Orange County Convention Center and downtown Orlando.

"We're continuing our mission to foster our brand's growth in top-tier markets and look forward to bringing Cambria to Orlando, a destination enjoying economic development and job growth while attracting more than 75 million visitors annually,” Janis Cannon, SVP of upscale brands at Choice Hotels International, said in a statement.

The hotel is expected to include an outdoor pool, onsite dining, meeting and event space and a fitness center. SMC Construction and Miles Architecture Group are managing construction and design, respectively.

Cambria Hotels has 50 hotels open across the United States, as well as a pipeline of nearly 80 properties.
