Construction on Cambria Hotels’ second location in the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., area is underway. Fort Lauderdale-based Hotel Motel owns the 104-room Cambria Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach, which is scheduled to open in 2020, and Meyer Jabara Hotels will manage it.

The hotel will include a pool with oceanfront views, onsite dining, meeting space and a fitness center. It will be located within walking distance of a public beach and a short drive from the Broward County Convention Center, Port Everglades and the corporate headquarters for DHL Solutions America, SATO Global Solutions, and Spirit Airlines.

The new hotel will join the Cambria Hotel Fort Lauderdale Airport South & Cruise Port, roughly 12 miles away, as the brand’s second hotel in the area. Cambria currently has more than 40 hotels open in the United States, with plans to open locations in Anaheim and Napa, Calif.; Boston; and Houston this year.
