Brighten the bath: Luminous designs from THG Paris

Fixture design company THG Paris collaborated with French crystal brands like Baccarat, DAUM and Lalique to create several luminous designs.

Beyond Crystal—designed by Remi Tessier and produced in collaboration with Baccarat—is a collection of bath fittings and accessories with translucent, rectangular crystal handles in vibrant Baccarat colors. It includes a soft LED accent that lets the Baccarat crystal glow. Each widespread faucet features an elongated spout that is available in a variety of finishes. It is available in red, champagne, aqua and blue, as well as clear crystal.

Metropolis was designed to combine geometric lines with the refinement of inset Lalique crystal. Featuring the iconic crystal raisin motif designed by René Lalique in 1928, its square-shaped handles reveal crystal encased in precious metal. It features an LED lighting system in Metropolis’ clear crystal handles. It is also available in black crystal (without an LED feature).

Paradise is part of the DAUM collection, and is produced by the historic French art crystal atelier. A crystal paste is transformed into abstract shapes to create Paradise’s fauna and flora motif. It comes with detailed crystal handles that were hand made by artisans using old-world techniques. LED lighting illuminates Paradise’s clear crystal handles.

Flore is also part of the DAUM collection, and features sculpted crystal. It has intricate floral patterns etched into the crystal. LED lighting emphasizes deep color hues on the round handles. It is hand made by artisans to display intricate detail.

Meanwhile, Dragon—also part of the DAUM collection—was created using pâte-de-verre, a technique that uses the lost-wax method to make a mold for the sculpture. It stands on its own as sculpture for the bath. It is available in three color variations with LED lighting: Sun, Moon and Jade.
